Mike started in the real estate industry in
                                                                    1976 at the age of 23 as a sales person for
                                                                    Ozark Real Estate Company.  Within about 6
                                                                    months Mike was promoted to the manager of
                                                                    Ozarks Meramec Heights Office.  In 1978, Mike
                                                                    was promoted to Vice President of Ozark and
                                                                    was directly responsible for training of agents
                                                                    while managing the Festus, Missouri office of
                                                                    Ozark Real Estate Co.
                                                                        During his tenure with Ozark, Mike trained
                                                                    well over 100 agents, managed and oversaw
                                                                    the day-to-day operations of two of Ozark's
                                                                    locations, and was directly responsible for
                                                                    areas of advertising, promotion, and fiscal
                                                                    management.
                                                                        By 1980, Mike moved on and partnered with
                                                                    long-time friend Gary W. Horn and opened
                                                                    G.W. Horn Real Estate Consultants, Inc. in
                                                                    Arnold, Missouri.  By the late part of 1983 Mike
                                                                    and Gary had offices in Arnold, House Springs,
and a satellite office selling new homes off of Hwy 21 in Imperial, Mo.
 As a smaller start-up operation, Mike and Gary both spent a great deal of time
overseeing the growth and development of the small company.  As the company grew
each of the owners also spent time working in the field directly with buyers and sellers
of real estate, while at the same time assisting their agents with their customers and
transactions.  By late 1983 Mike sold his share of the company to his partner and was
recruited into the New Home industry by industry giant J.L Mason of Missouri and their
Mason Homes division.
 Mike worked in the aggressively growing St. Peters area of St. Charles selling new
homes in a community know as Hickory Ridge.  Selling over 100 home within the first
year, Mike was also called upon to put into place management practices that he had
developed during his previous time as a company executive and owner.  Realizing that
he preferred the management side of business, Mike left Mason Homes in 1984 and
took the opportunity to join a small St. Louis County homebuilder, J.R. Mayer
Enterprises, Inc.
 Over the next seventeen years Mike's management expertise and talents for training,
advertising, marketing, and business execution proved themselves countless times
over.  J.R. Mayer Enterprises, Inc. became Mayer Homes, and by 1993 Mayer Homes
was listed in the new homes industry trade publications as being "The Fastest Growing
Homebuilder in The United States".  Mike oversaw and controlled virtually every aspect
of the internal and external marketing and sales for Mayer Homes serving as the Vice
President for Mayer Homes affiliated Mayer Homes Realty, LLC division.
In 2001 Mike left Mayer Homes and has since been a consultant for homebuilders,
including some of the largest in the country, providing them with assistance in many
areas of the industry via "
The Whiteaker Group, LLC".  
 He has trained division presidents in establishing operations, setting up and
implementing advertising programs, hiring and training sales staffs, and developing
operational budgets for builders across the country.  Mike is known for his attention to
detail and ability to work within small budgetary confines to produce extraordinary sales
volume.  His intimate knowledge in all areas of marketing, advertising, layout, design,
production and management avail him great insight that produce solid results.
 Along with his consulting business, in 2006 Mike was joined by his son Sean
Whiteaker and together they opened Whiteaker Realty, LLC to serve as a retail full
service real estate firm.  Mikes position with Whiteaker Realty is that of the Broker, and
not surprisingly his areas of expertise lie in dealing with new home builders, ground
developers, and large tract land sales.
 During his real estate career, Mike has amassed nearly one billion dollars of
residential sales.
